In his magnum opus, the Summa Theologiae, St. Thomas Aquinas explained virtue in considerable depth. He identified four Cardinal Virtues: Prudence, Justice, Fortitude, and Temperance. In addition, Thomas taught three Theological Virtues: Faith, Hope, and Charity. The presentation below explores the Cardinal Virtues and some of their attributes.
